To all creators:
Updates have been made to the “Donation Box” feature. You can now customize your Donation Box settings in your profile. If you prefer not to share a PayPal link or similar, you can simply leave a note in the “Donate Message” section, letting other players know how they can support you.
Previously, a donation URL was necessary for the donation box to appear on posts. Now, as long as there’s text in the message box, it will be displayed.
And to all players:
Supporting your creators is vital and inspires them to keep delivering fresh content! We wouldn’t be where we are without all of the creators who continue to ignite new sparks in the game we love and hate.

Posts that have been voted Recommended and have no history of being stickied will now be automatically stickied!
So be sure to come back after you’ve downloaded a mod and vote for it, and if you think it’s worth it, recommend it to others! 10 recommendations will add a post to its “Recommended” category and will be stickied on top of MXB-Mods for 7 days! 🙂

New Quality of Life updates are here! You can now vote mods to be “Recommended”. While these categories have existed for a while, they haven’t been actively used until now.
As you know, we moderators feature posts that are of very high quality. Now, when a post is featured, it is automatically added to the “Recommended” category and its corresponding category.
Now, users can also recommend posts! When a post has over 500 views, a “Recommend this mod” button will appear at the bottom. It needs just 10 votes to become “Recommended”.

We’ve decided to clean up the user database since there have been +3000 accounts that have never activated/confirmed their account after registration.
Users that log-in/register via Discord or have posted mods already are not effected by this.
The regular “Awaiting account confirmation” purge is now active again and will purge accounts that haven’t been confirmed in 7 days after creation.

Due to the recent hacking incident, all passwords have been reset.
Please click the “Forgot Password” link when logging in to get a new password you’ll use only on this website.
In the top menu underneath “Hello, xxx” and “Account” you can optionally enable 2FA. This is not a must, just a try in making things a bit more secure.
Also, just to get back on track, submitting mods is currently disabled. It will be enabled in the next couple days, please stand by.
Sorry for the inconvenience, I hope this was it.

After further investigation we’ve found out that couple users have been deleted and their posts are unclaimed and have no author assigned. If this applies to you, feel free to contact us.

The website’s optimization settings have been updated, this should fix the bug when trying to change the user profile avatar or banner.
If you still encounter issues, try clearing your cache by either CTRL+F5 or CTRL+R.
It is also recommended to clear cookies in your browser.
Edit 24/01/25: Now the correct text will also appear in the donation box and button.

The issues regarding posts showing 0 views has been resolved. Sorry for fixing this so late but the issues that caused this behaviour were unknown until now.

The user profile options have been extended. It is now possible to add more social accounts which are being displayed on your profile, as well as change your website-wide “display name” that is being shown on posts and pages across the system.
More profile customization options might come very soon. We hope you enjoy those little features!

Last couple days were used to add some QoL features to the website system. That includes the new and very simple download counter and download timestamp notification. Hovering over the green checkmark when browsing through the website will tell you exactly when you last downloaded any of the files from that post. When in the downloads section of a post, it will tell you the same with the option to reset it. We’re interested in developing this feature more in the future.
With the website’s default timezone being set to UTC/GMT+00:00 these times will also be incorrect for you depending on your offset. You can update your personal timezone in your user profile now.
